Today, May 23rd, 2022 marks one year since the HMV Mania server was installed on May 23rd, 2021.
Stats
May has been a strong month for the site.
- The site hit 1 million pageviews on May 11th, 2022.
- It is on its way to 1,000 videos, currently at 964 videos.
- We are approaching 200 creators on the site.
- The Twitter account hit 666 Followers on May 5th, 2022.
Hellish Black Beast will also be the first one-year HMV on the site on May 30th, 2022 (barring Welcome to HMV Mania).
A check on the site’s space suggests that we can continue using the current server for a while. Each video, on average, is 116 MB with the standardized 24 FPS and 3 MB/s specification.
As of now, if we went by that average of 116 MB per video, we’d have enough space for roughly 1,800 more videos. This means we should be good for at least another year and a half (end of 2023) when it comes to video storage on the site.
Forums
We will continue to go through applications for user accounts on the forum. There is some catching up to do on this front. You can apply for an account in this thread. Please see the Community section of the site for how you can contact us and we can give the credentials.
A user posted a torrent link in the forums for The Compendium which has over 500 GB worth of HMVs, for those that are interested.
June
We’re expecting the site to hit 1,000 videos in the first or second week of June. We’ll be looking into Genres and how that can be handled by the community for suggestions on tags for videos on the site.
